Michael Orell

Managing Director of Creative Operations

Michael Orell hails from the Left Coast. Los Angeles, to be more precise. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Marketing.

He began his career in the Music Industry at Interscope Records in Santa Monica, CA and later for Def Jam and MCA in Detroit, MI where he founded 101 Marketing, a collegiate initiative to raise awareness for label artists. He soon moved to New York working for McCann Erickson Advertising Agency, first for Coca-Cola then Sony.

He came over to the Urban Hostess family as a creative director responsible managing the UH brand and marketing objectives. He would like to take this opportunity to thank those that have provided him the opportunity to work for such an inventive and supportive institution that has allowed him to see his visions to fruition.

He is a voracious reader and oft late with his undone sneakers.
